I obtained it as Caulokaempferia sikkimensis, and that was what I thought it was, while it produced a lot of leaves.

I was uncertain how it would survive the winter. It died down to a dry rhizome and I kept it dry and frost free indoors. In the spring it shot up some new growth, and
has increased in size, which is very gratifying.

When it flowered I was able to track down its proper name. It produced half a dozen of these attractive red and white flowers.
