Disa (Foam x Luke Edwards)
29th June 2017
A hybrid that dates from the mad "try anything" phase - a more realistic interpretation would be that for a
couple of years I was practising my pollination technique and seed raising method not really worrying
about the possible outcomes. This is an accidental hybrid with compact stems and large flowers that struck
me with its vigour. The first flowering produced 3 spikes in a 9cm pot. This is the result in the second year,
I think there were nine flower stems in a 1litre pot. It started flowering at the end of June and there were
still flowers in good condition at the end of August.
It is an accident, but I think it is a good one.
Neither the Foam nor the Luke Edwards were named clones, just seedlings in their respective greges that I have bought in.
