Muehlenbeckia ephedroides var. muricata

A tiny form of a species from New Zealand collected by Graham Hutchins. It has a blue bloom on the stems which gives it
a visual charm that is generally lacking in the genus. It is possible that this should be treated as a species - the typical subspecies
is a much larger and uglier thing.
