Achillea ptarmica 'Nana Compacta'
29th July 2012
I grew up with the double flowered form of Achillea ptarmica. I don't know where my mother got it from
but I don't ever remember her garden without it. It is one of those things that is so familiar that it drifts
into the background.
This dwarf single flowered form was a surprise. I saw it at a distance in Derry Watkins nursery, Special Plants
and I knew I needed one. It is bright, shining, vigorous and flowers for weeks in late summer. Wonderful.
