Actaea simplex Variegated
11th September 2011
Actaea often make the strongest impact in a border with tall spikes of white flowers in late summer. The purple
leaved forms are very striking in pots but they aren't always as telling when planted out. The variegated form was
introduced from Japan by Dan Hinkley. I am hoping that it will be a delightful and striking oddity. If that doesn't work,
then I will settle for a delightful oddity and as a last resort, just an oddity!
I love variegated plants, so I will be happy enough with that.
