Actiniopteris radiata
17th April 2019
I was expecting this to be a troublesome, tropical fern and I was surprised that it had resisted the ravages of ther retail process with such resolve.
It was an illusion, within days of being put into a suitable moist and warm environment the fronds dried out and died. New growh is appearing
but I am still expecting trouble (79p's worth of trouble if it all goes horribly wrong).
A widespread fern found in most of Africa through Afghanistan, Nepal, Burma, India and on to Australia. Grows in hot dry habitats, probably with access
to daily moisture through condensation or via deep roots.
