In the 1980's I received a plant of 'Masamune' from a friend in Japan, and although I have since lost it (in the sense of misplaced - I think I have moved house and left it behind somewhere!) I remember it as variegated and dwarf. Back in those days I didn't have a digital camera to prompt memory and was still young enough to believe I could remember everything. In that respect at least I am older and wiser.

I still grow some nondescript green grassy things, however. Hurrah for progress!
