Agapanthus 'Gayle's Lilac'
21st August 2011
A vigorous cultivar, the name is a warning that it isn't really blue. That wouldn't be a serious matter with
most plants, but in a genus that is famous for its blueness it could be seen as a major failing.
Vigorous, floriferous and rather jolly but never ever blue in a way that could only be welcome
in a clinic for the depressed.

It originated in New Zealand where it was being distributed as an unnamed seedling until it was given a name by Ian Duncalf.
Hardy, adaptable and lilac.
