Agave lechuguilla marginata
5th March 2011
A nice greyish little plant that I got from a grower in Wales. I doubt that the varietal name has any significance.
1st March 2015
A widespread species ranging from north west Texas south to the state of Hidalgo in Mexico covering a wide range of altitudes and surviving very dry environments.
It has a adapted well to life in the Agave house and developed the long thin octopus leaves typical of the species.
The cultivar name 'Marginata' is also used for a clone with yellow marginal variegation from Thailand.
