A small species similar to A. filifera but rather variable in the presumed natural populations. The species was named on the basis of a plant
growing in Verschaffelt's garden in Belgium and without details of its origin.

My young seedling is slowly growing and starting to show the filiferous margins to the leaves. I don't understand why, but it is one of those silly
little developmental changes that fill me with satisfaction.
