Agave striata

1st March 2015

A. striata and A. stricta are very closely related species, almost identical in appearance though A. striata in habitat grows eventually into dense clumps and even young plants have a random grassy look about them comparted with the rosetted precision of A. stricta. Vague suggestions aside, technically A. striata has a long flower tube, exceeding the length of the tepals.
I bought this one as a large plant in 2012 and it is settling in well.
