Albizia kalkoa
11th August 2006
The Albizzias are spectacular trees, but they do best with hot dry summers, which are rather scarce here!
I got a packet of seed of this one because it was hailed as the hardiest and most tolerant of wet weather. During the first year, they did very well in the greenhouse.
They have done rather less well through the winter, and also during the summer, outside, so they have now come back into the greenhouse for this winter. They will be grown on
until they are a lot larger, and then I will give them another try outside.

I am certain that I need to feed it more regularly next year, and find a bigger pot for it. It has survived
the cold without problems, but it sulking in a pot that is too small.
