This tiny little onion is commonly overlooked, but is one of the prettiest and most floriferous of the blue flowered species.
It even manages to have good leaves while it is flowering
(I can't think of another blue flowered species that can manage that clever little trick)!

I should have split it this year, and I didn't, so it rewarded me with a rather poor show of flowers.

A mountain onion from china where it grows on bare slopes and at forest edges from 2,100m to 5,000 altitude.
