I was poking around in a nursery minding my own business when I tripped over this. Erratic speckled variegation that almost certainly occurred in tissue culture.
It seems to be a form of Alocasia macrorhiza, and I have been surprised at how tough it has been, although it came indoors just in case.
It struggles to grow here - I can't give it enough heat in the summer to get it through the winter. I should really bring it in to a windowsill
to keep it going, but somehow there never seems to be enough space, so it has to make do with the conservatory, which just isn't warm enough.
