A striking species that can be grown outside, but the tuber has to be lifted and stored in frost free conditions. The single leaf gets
much larger than shown here on my juvenile plant. If I fed it better and gave it more light in the summer, it would be bigger by now!
Flowers in late spring when the tuber is large enough, but mine hasn't managed it yet.
I was quite surprised to still have this after last winter, but it seems to have come through with minimal damage in a cold greenhouse.
