A form of Pineapple with spineless leaves. I don't know where it came from, but it is perfect for use as a pot plant. Many years ago I spent a day potting up a few
thousand variegated pineapples as pot plants, and they left me seriously bloodied but much wiser. Some bromeliads have spines that spike hands moving in to the rosette,
and some spike hands pulling away from the rosette and when you handle them you learn the difference very quickly! This delightful one has no spines - it is lovely!
