Anemone x hybrida 'Prinz Heinrich'

13th September 2014

A dwarf form with dark pink flowers and slightly quilled petals. Raised by Wilhelm Pfitzer in Germany and introduced in 1902. It is a lovely thing in the garden and it is a lovely thing in photographs, but the two things should not be confused. In pictures it can look rich and elegant. In the garden it is surprisingly angry and blobbish. Still lovely, but if you bought it on the basis of a picture you might get a surprise.
