I usually shy away from hybrid Aquilegia because they seed about and hybridise themselves
into mediocrity. All the best plans get abandoned in the face of a good plant and that is what has happened.
It has now produced a mass of unflowered seedlings that will be wonderful next spring (if they want
to survive they will be wonderful - it was a warning not a prediction)!

It has survived the years, which has been a surprise. Aquilegia are not often long-lived and the more they have been bred for
production from seed the more they tend to behave as annuals. The Spring Magic Series was raised by Benary and this pink and white strain
has been very impressive.
