I usually try to avoid buying adult Arisaema in flower - I am always a little worried about the source of the tubers - large numbers are still being dug up from the wild! This one came from a reliable source - Pottertons nurseries have been growing this stock for many years. A really beautiful flower, the spadix has an enormously elongated appendix that loops up over the leaf (in this case) and then trails down to the ground. I was told that it was completely hardy, so this year it has been left outside in its pot (with some protection from the wet), and if any pictures appear here next year, then it is!
