Arum hygrophilum
Archive entry 30.03.14
30th March 2014
All of the Arum are beautiful in flower (to some of us anyway), but this has a special charm. The creamy-green spathe has a pinkish margin to match the pink spadix.
The species has a disjunct distribution in North Africa, Cyprus and the Middle East. Sadly it is threatened in all parts of its range by population growth (human)
and the spread of agriculture.
