I sowed the seed in 2005,and I think I have a single survivor, though confirmation of the identity will have to wait until it flowers
(though the seed was labelled "the true species"). The name is a synonym of A. orientale ssp. orientale.

The flower has failed to resolve the question of identity. It isn't entirely as expected by it has been damaged at the back and is distorted as a result.
This isn't quite right, but it isn't entirely wrong either.
