From Yunnan and Sichuan in China, this has yet to flower, so I can't confirm the identity. Sometimes treated as a species in its own right, A.cardiophyllum.
The flower in 2008 was rather distorted, but this year it has produced one that could be the real A.caudigerum cardiophyllum !
(I will have to eat those words!)
