A splendid evergreen groundcover for partial shade. Tolerates quite dry conditions. This is
the only species to occur in europe, and there seems to be very little variation, either in flower
colour or in the colour or pattern of the leaves.
The small brownish flowers are produced in March and April, but pass without notice unless you
kneel down and delve among the leaves for them.
Growing well outside in partial shade. I have seen colonies that have expanded rapidly and then died out in a season, so I will be taking
a section off and replanting it somewhere else this before long.
