A strong evergreen species with large triangular flowers that look as though they have been spattered with a thick coating of mud by an endless stream of fat
stock brokers in off road vehicles. It is much much lovlier than I make it sound.
I was sent it as Asarum delavayi and having seen it previously at an Alpine Garden Society show, I would have accepted the name
without question, so especial thanks to Barry Yinger for setting me straight.
