A couple of years ago I bought a plant from Otter Nurseries in Exeter because it had a
leaf with a faint gold line down the midrib, in the style of 'Lennon's Song'. When I got
it home, the gold striped leaf was a complete underground shoot, which I detached and refer to as
'Otter Stripe'. The chunk of green that remained I refer to as 'Otter Green' which is an adequate if
unspectacular name for an adequate but unspectacular plant. It is very tall growing.
