Baeckea virgata
11th August 2006
A marvellous overspill from the days when I grew a lot of Leptospermum forms. A white flowered Australian relative that has a reputation for being slightly
tender, but has never been affected by the cold here. Has grown into a tall but rather leggy shrub.
I would hate to be without it, but I can't think of a single really good reason for that.

It has flowered really well this year, but it is slowly being shaded out of its current position, so I really will have to take some cuttings
and plant a new one somewhere in the sun.

It is not having the best of years. It shrugged off this snow without difficulty, but then I ran it over with the digger, and it isn't very happy about it.
