Bellis caerulescens
31st May 2018
A plant I have grown oin several occasions over the decades, I am fond of its pinkish lilac flowers and refusal to conform to the
pink tipped daisy template. It is vigorous but it has to be divided frequently or the polants go downhill rapidly.
When I finally lose this plant, which is inevitable, it will be because I have ignored it for too long.
I have always known it as Bellis rotundifolia 'Caerulescens' but the lilac tinged taxon from the centre of Morocco
has now been divided off into a species of its own.
