Berberis candidula 'Amstelveen'
Archive entry 15.12.13

A nice, compact but otherwise unexceptional form of Berberis candidula, little prickly green tuft
of cuddle-fun that it is. It has re-appeared from under a large Deutzia recently. There is potential for
confusion between this and 'Jytte' - I bought them both in 1983 and I was never very clear about the difference.
Since then the internet has been invented and Google has suggested that this is 'Amstelveen' - which means that it was
'Jytte' that got dug out and burnt.
