Begonia 'Abel Carriere'

An excellent old cultivar (registered 1878) that I was delighted to get hold of this year. A hybrid between a rex cultivar and B.evansiana (which is hardy).
It suggests that even 100 years ago people were breeding Begonias with a view to hardiness.
