Begonia grandis 'Sapporo'
2nd October 2011
A recently introduced form of the species. Bleddyn and Sue Wynn-Jones found it in Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido, Japan.
It is said to be the hardiest of the selections of the species. It has thicker leaves and more vigorous upright stems than any other form I grow
and has flowered throughout summer and autumn.
