Begonia "Par Jagged Black"

Bought from Par Moor Garden Centre because I liked the dark leaves. The jagged edge of the leaves makes them prone to tearing when the plants are handled, and the leaves are quite thin.

In common with most thin leaved forms, it suffers from cold during the winter, and can be defoliated under poor conditions. If the rhizomes are kept reasonably dry during the winter, they regrow rapidly when the spring warms up.

I have more research to do, but it is very like 'Esperanza'.
