A large growing myrtle from Argentina and Chile. It is said to have aromatic leaves (I can't smell them) and purple fruits (I haven't seen them).
It will be a real nuisance where it is if it reaches the possible height of 20m, I wish I had checked on that before I planted it. I have never seen one larger than 5m
and if this one gets that big it will be removed.
