Bomarea boliviensis
Archive entry 07.10.12
7th October 2012
Grown from seed from Dan Hinkley's garden, raised by Crug Farm Plants.
The species comes from the Bolivian altiplano and the northern Cordilleras of Argentina from 1,600 to 3,300m altitude. A low growing
non-climbing species with leathery slightly glaucous leaves.
Distinctive salmon flowers with green tips. It is a little unfortunate that they do not seem to match the species description.

The concensus of opinion is that this is actually Alstroemeria isabellina which is where it will appear in future.
