A tiny flowered clumping Bomarea quite unlike the climbing forms I am used to. I assume it will be as resentful
of root disturbance, so I am glad it is producing seed.
I am not especially fond of the climbing forms - I want to like them
but rather like a failed love affair, there is always something that rankles when we meet, however this is just charming. Bizarrely
I am able to delight in it because I have never loved it - funny world!

The species comes from the mountains of Ecuador where it grows in the light shade of cloud forests. Mine is too dry and too shaded, errors
that I must rectify because I am rather fond of it.
