A species that is quite common in cultivation (though often under its pseudonym B.hirtella). It produces
much larger umbels of flowers when well grown, and pictures online show it much pinker than mine, but
I suspect that may be the effect of climates with a higher light intensity than mine.
In the greenhouse it has flowered for months and if I could think of a good place for it, it woud be hardy outside.

On occasion the edible tubers have been used as a vegetable in the same way as potatoes. I haven't tried it yet.
