Bomarea patacoensis

A species I have just acquired because the genus has slipped back into my attention. I am hoping it will be a little more robust
and less prone to red spider mite than the species I have grown previously.
Grown from seed collected by Jim Archibald under the number JCA13987.

We had a really bad winter last year, and I was worried that this would be killed outright. Certainly
it was slow to get started in spring, but once it emerged it has grown at a great pace, reaching the roof of the greenhouse
and tumbling back down to the bench. Lots of stems, lots of leaves and not a single flower bud.
