My fascination with the Marantaceae goes back to the days when I still had a warm greenhouse to grow them in, and I should know better
than to buy them now, but at the end of summer they turn up on the market at ridiculous prices (this was £1.99), so it is worth
a try. This is the best flowering of the Calathea that are easily available and it is currently wintering in a heated propagator!
