Callisia warszewicziana

One of the delights of being harmlessly deranged is finding a plant sufficiently unknown to be mystifying. I was given this and spent a couple of days chasing a name
for it.
It turns out that it is one of the interesting Tradescantia relatives to be found in southern Mexico. Bold rosettes of leaves and lilac pink
flower heads produced in summer (I haven't seen them yet - I am promised). It is unlikely to be cold hardy so I have brought it indoors, at least for this year.
If it grows vigorously and I have a spare, then I will try it in a cold greenhouse next year.
