Canna speciosa

I was happy to be given a seedling of this red flowered species. The hope was that it would be tall and leafy and free of virus.
If I had one that was performing well in the garden I might be enthused by the genus again. The ravages of Canna Virus rather
knocked the stuffing out of me and a string of cold winters has meant that Cannas have slipped off of the radar for a bit.
It was all looking good until another rotten winter left me with rotten tubers.
