Camellia 'Alba Simplex'
5th February 2020
A beautiful white single flowered selection of C. japonica. The international Camellia Register says:
"A seedling of Variegata, introduced in 1813 by Rollison of the Tooting Nursery..."
I grew it in the 1980's but somehow I misplaced it - if it was ever planted in the garden it has long since vanished. About ten years ago
I bought another to replace it, and it is now growing well.
