Camellia 'Freedom Bell'
Archive entry 21.01.24

During the winter I cut down a row of Pinus radiata that were planted as windbreaks but which had grown so large that the trunks provided no protection
at all at ground level. In their place I planted a row of assorted Camellia, which had been sitting around in pots for many years. They are rather
tatty at present, but they will recover. This one flower was a gift of gratitude!

Raised in 1948 but first blooming in 1962, distributed by Nuccio's Nurseries in California though I don't know if they raised it.
