Camellia 'Jupiter'
11th March 2012
Poor old 'Jupiter', lost his name for 20 years then I felled a tree and flattened him and it has been a slow recovery.
Now it is regrowing and I have sorted out the name.

The original plant has been known since the middle of the nineteenth century and is described as having
white stripes down each petal. My plant doesn't really fit that description. This one was introduced by Paul in 1904, it's a good single red
with a number of synonyms.
