Camellia 'Preston Rose'
Archive entry 08.01.17

The flowers are quite variable, but this is one of the better ones, pale pink with darker veins. In the sunlight there is
a salmon tinge to the flowers. This is one of the 'lost' Camellias in the garden. I planted it twenty-five years ago
and then lost the label (there will be one burried underneath it, but it is too big to lift the shrub now).
Fortunately, I found the records of what I was growing back then, and arrived at a name.

A very old cultivar, believed to have originated in France.
