Centaurea montana 'Gold Bullion'

25th September 2010

30th May 2014

I can never resist golden leaved forms of familiar plants so 'Gold Bullion'is a perfect addition to the garden. I'm not expecting it to last long here, my local vermin (I think deer rather than rabbits) eat them to the ground if they get the chance.
Discovered as a sport growing among typical plants by Hervey Fielding in his garden in Oldham (UK). Under the right conditions (absence of deer) it will spread into a dense carpert.
