Ceropegia woodii 'Keepsake Heart'

Ceropegia woodii is a charismatic little succulent from Natal. It scrambles around, or hangs rather untidily from the pot. The fleshy silver marked leaves are produced in pairs from the long stringy stems.

I have been growing the usual form for many years, but this variegated cultivar is quite new. It is being distributed in the USA as 'Keepsake Heart', which is a better name than 'Variegata', which is what it was labelled when I got it. It seems to be as vigorous as the usual form and has survived well here in the greenhouse which keeps it just free of frost. It can be allowed to get very dry in winter or there is a risk of it rotting.
