I doubt that it will be hardy enough to survive here even in a greenhouse, but it seemed worth a try.
It is endemic to Southern Mexico but widely cultivated in sub-tropical gardens. I grow it in a closed poly-tunnel where the temperature soars through the summer
and it has survived so far. However the growth is painfully slow and it suffers a certain amount of leaf damage through the winter.
