Chlorophytum laxum 'Bichetii'
This is the commonest form of Chlorophytum laxum in cultivation. It has a thin white margin to
the leaves. It is a good compact border plant for a warm greenhouse.
For many years it was
only available from aquarium plant suppliers, as the "Wheat Plant" (where do they get these
wonderful and descriptive names!).
If grown as an aquarium plant it rots quite rapidly.
In recent years it has been offered as a houseplant, but it could not really be said to prosper.
