Clematis 'Pixie'

A small growing New Zealand hybrid raised by Graham Hutchins at County Park Nursery. In 1986 he fertilised C. petriei 'Princess' with pollen from
C. marmoraria. The clones 'Pixie' (male) and 'Fairy' (female) were selected and named because of their compact growth and abundant flower.

New Zealand Clematis struggle in my climate, the summer is too wet and the sun is too weak. They grow in the greenhouse if repotted frequently but they don't survive well outisde.
