A suckering shrub from eastern North America, the scented flowers appear in August when the garden is hot and heavy and add a touch of freshness.

Unfortunately it is one of a sadcollection of shrubs that are still waiting for a permanent position in the garden. I will get there eventually,
in the meantime it has rooted through and will be a problem to move.
