Convallaria majalis 'Prolificans'
I grow a lot of plants in the Convallariaceae, but curiously I only have a few Convallaria.
Most of the cultivars of Lily of the Valley were developed for the cut flower industry, and generally claim to
be 'giant' or large flowered. Some of the varieties are not very distinctive, and over the years their
identities may have been confused.
This double flowered form is very distinctive, and it lasts in flower much longer than the single flowered
form. That may or may not be a good thing. It depends whether you like double flowers or not! It is very strongly scented.

Possibly because of the increased weight of the flower clusters, the stems are generally more drooping than the typical single forms.
